Day 1 of Project America Run – Afghanistan. A very special moment where a whole community showed its support and group of teens from a local high school decide on their own to run a few miles along side of Mike, each helping to plant a flag along the way.
To honor those who have served and died in Afghanistan, Mike Ehredt is in the process of going on a 2,100 mile solo run. Flags bearing the Name, Rank, Age and Hometown of a fallen U.S. Military Member will be placed each mile, thus creating an invisible holding of hands from our northern border of Canada, just north of International Falls, MN
to the Gulf of Mexico outside Galveston, TX.
Project America Run founder Mike Ehredt challenges all Americans to take his 26/81 Fitness Challenge. As Mike runs an average of a marathon a day for 81 straight days, commit to being active for 26 minutes a day for 81 days.
Thank you to all those who helped and supported us. We are all ready. Tomorrow is the official start of Project America Run: Afghanistan.
A message from Mike 1 week before Project America Run begins.
