PROJECT AMERICA RUN PART II 2012
image

In 2010 Mike Ehredt of Hope, ID completed Project America Run. This was a solo run across America to honor and remember our service members that have died in Iraq. Running daily for five and a half months he covered 4424 miles and placed 4424 flags, one each mile for every death. This was a non-political tribute, merely a personal thank you to those who had served....

In 2012 Mike will again take to the roads of America. On September 1st he will begin running from the Canadian border in Minnesota, south to the waters edge, on the Gulf of Mexico outside of Galveston, TX. A distance of over 2100 miles. He will stop each mile and place a flag with a yellow ribbon attached bearing the name, rank, age and hometown of a military member who has died in Afghanistan.

With the completion of Project America Run Part II, he will have covered over 6600 miles and planted over 6600 flags, thus creating a wall of thanks from the west coast to the east coast and from the north to the south....
